«  "I Just Called to Say I Love You" "  is a song, produced, written and performed by Stevie Wonder. It was one of Wonder's most commercially successful singles.

The song was first featured in the 1984 comedy The Woman in Red, along with two other songs by Wonder, and scored number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks from October 13, 1984, and also became Wonder's only solo UK number-one success, staying at the top for six weeks. It also became his tenth number-one on the R&B chart, and his fourth number-one on the adult contemporary chart. In addition, the song won both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

There is a dispute between Wonder and his former writing partner Lee Garrett over authorship rights. Garrett claims to have written the song years prior to its 1984 release. »

Одной из самых плодовитых ( принты - во всех арт-галлереях!) художниц современной Американской фигуративной живописи - Colleen Ross.
 Она просто воспевает, прославляет Её Величество - Женщину!
 Какие притягательные образы. 

Из тех, кому посвящают три этих заветных, вечных слова:

and unforgettable vision of women. »

 

« Colleen Ross was born in Toledo Ohio, and grew up in the 1950s. Colleen began all of her actual painting from the age of thirteen. 

 

She was graduated from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio  with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education with a minor in painting. 

 

Colleen taught art for two years in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1979, after moving to Arizona, Colleen Ross launched her professional career with the Upstairs Gallery, with several sell out one-woman shows.

In the early 1980s Colleen Ross was signed by publisher Scott Hanson, owner of several Hanson Art Galleries. Colleen had several one woman exhibitions in New York, Maui, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Sausalito, Carmel and New Orleans.

 

 

 

 

She not only is known for her painting style but is also recognized for being a well-known portrait artist, most notably for her high profile clients such as portraits of Brooke Shields, Farrah Fawcett, Delta Burke, Jane Seymour and Teri Hatcher.

Colleen Ross' art career has spanned more than 20 years and her art exhibitions and work have been covered by many international media outlets including: People Magazine, UPI Press, New York Times, USA Today, Variety, San Francisco Chronicle, Barbara Walters, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Good Morning America, Gazette (Montreal) and ABC Primetime. (Colleen's images on two paintings of Loveable dogs were used by the television show, Desperate 

Housewives, for several seasons).

 

 

In 2003, she was licensed by Harley Davidson.

In 2006, Colleen Ross was commissioned by Teri Hatcher to create thirteen illustrations for Hatcher's autobiography, Burnt Toast. Her illustrations were shown on ABC's Good Morning America, Primetime and Access Hollywood. She was interviewed and featured in the San Francisco Chronicle with Teri Hatcher's fond references to Colleen's art that she has collected over the years.

 

 

Colleen Ross has created a large and diverse body of work and has worked with a wide range of mediums, including clay, acid etching, lithography, silk screening, oil, acrylic, paper and fabrics. The style of her work is very colorful  and theatrical, but also shows influences from the Pop and Fauvist art movements. Colleen Ross is most recognized for her paintings of women in vintage cars or on Harley bikes, but in more recent years Ross has begun to explore other subjects.»
